Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable batch, near-real-time, and real-time data pipelines for Find My services.
- Build GenAI-powered applications, RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector database solutions, semantic search, and AI agents.
- Develop agentic workflows involving planning, memory, tool use, execution loops, and multi-agent coordination.
- Apply data minimization, aggregation, anonymization, retention, access controls, and other privacy-preserving techniques.
- Take AI and data engineering prototypes from proof of concept to production.
- Collaborate with product, SRE, privacy, hardware, software, and other engineering teams, including through design and code reviews.
- Support data governance, lineage, data quality, and observability for sensitive and personal data.
- Contribute to the scalability and reliability of Find My services.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in data engineering and applied AI/ML engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience designing and building end-to-end data pipelines at scale.
- Proficiency in Python and Java, with advanced SQL skills and dimensional data modeling experience.
- Demonstrated experience building GenAI-powered applications and agents using RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search over structured and unstructured data.
- Experience with AI agents or agentic workflows, including multi-agent systems, is preferred.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud-native data platforms is preferred.
- Experience with privacy-preserving analytics, sensitive data controls, data governance, lineage, data quality, and observability tools is preferred.
- Experience shipping AI, ML, or GenAI proofs of concept to production is preferred.
- Experience with location, device telemetry, or IoT data is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
