Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support scalable backend services, APIs, cloud-native applications, data integrations, and ML-enabled services.
- Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs and production-quality implementations across the software development lifecycle.
- Build data ingestion, transformation, preprocessing, feature engineering, and post-processing pipelines for ML training, experimentation, and inference.
- Support the end-to-end ML lifecycle, including experimentation, model registration, versioning, testing, deployment, orchestration, inference, and model management.
- Develop automation pipelines for software, data pipelines, and ML models and implement monitoring for applications, data quality, model performance, drift, and operational metrics.
- Optimize workloads for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency while supporting production incidents, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, data, product, security, infrastructure, architecture, and business teams.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in Software, Data, or ML engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience with AI/ML-powered applications, large datasets, and Data Engineering.
- At least 1 year of experience implementing solutions through software development lifecycles.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, CIS, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- Experience building robust data and ML pipelines for analytics and AI/ML systems using structured and unstructured data.
- Proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, React, SQL, Python, and PySpark.
- Experience with MLOps tools or frameworks such as MLflow, Kubeflow, or Vertex AI, including model registries and versioning.
- Understanding of ML models, model-serving frameworks, cloud platforms, big-data systems, analytics databases, and data visualization or exploration tools.
- Experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologies or cloud platforms; Apache Airflow, Cloud Composer, BigQuery, Trino, Presto, and Great Expectations are desired.
- Retail forecasting, business forecasting, or time-series forecasting experience is desirable.
