Responsibilities
- Assess business initiatives and change requests, providing solution options, assumptions, risks, and rough order-of-magnitude estimates.
- Gather and analyze requirements with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, designers, and engineering teams.
- Define end-to-end solution architectures aligned with business objectives and technology capabilities.
- Document functional and non-functional requirements and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reusable, maintainable, and cost effective.
- Establish architecture guardrails, design standards, and implementation approaches for technical teams.
- Support prioritization, planning, delivery, solution reviews, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Conduct root cause analysis and identify opportunities for innovation, optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience is required.
- 15 years of full-time education is required.
- Experience designing solutions with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, AWS cloud-native and serverless architecture patterns, and event-driven architecture.
- Strong experience designing enterprise-scale business and technology solutions and translating business requirements into scalable solution designs.
- Understanding of distributed systems, integration patterns, APIs, cloud technologies, and modern architecture principles.
- Experience defining non-functional requirements covering security, scalability, performance, availability, and maintainability.
- Ability to communicate architectural concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence cross-functional alignment.
- Experience producing architectural artifacts using industry-standard modeling approaches such as C4 Model and UML.
- Experience with Agile, Lean, Scrum, Kanban, or similar delivery methodologies.
- Preferred qualifications include large-scale enterprise experience, familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and governance, digital transformation or modernization experience, customer-centric product development and service design knowledge, and exposure to automation, AI-enabled solutions, and modern software engineering practices.
