Responsibilities
- Design and build reusable APIs, connectors, data pipelines, and event-driven services for data product registration, validation, publication, and lifecycle management.
- Integrate Snowflake, Git, CI/CD pipelines, metadata catalogs, lineage, data-quality, entitlement, and marketplace capabilities.
- Implement metadata-as-code, data-contract, schema-validation, schema-drift detection, exception-routing, certification, and deployment-gate controls.
- Build secure, scalable, observable, supportable deployment patterns with automated testing, versioning, release controls, audit logging, retries, and recovery.
- Apply LLMs and machine learning to metadata discovery, enrichment, mapping, classification, relationship resolution, and data-quality suggestions with evaluation, guardrails, confidence thresholds, and approvals.
- Package successful components as reusable services that scale across Asset Servicing domains and measure automation accuracy and operational impact.
- Lead a team of at least eight people and support debugging, production incidents, and organization-level initiatives.
Requirements
- Strong software, data-platform, integration-engineering, data-engineering, or platform-engineering experience with a production mindset.
- Deep experience designing REST APIs, event-driven integrations, data pipelines, and distributed services.
- Hands-on expertise with Python, SQL, Snowflake, Git, and CI/CD.
- Experience with metadata catalogs, lineage, data quality, schemas, data contracts, Data Product platforms, enterprise data, or governance ecosystems.
- Understanding of observability, idempotency, retries, recovery, audit logging, security, entitlement patterns, and automated engineering controls.
- Practical experience applying LLMs or machine learning to structured enterprise workflows with human oversight.
- Experience building and operating production APIs, pipelines, automation services, or integration frameworks.
- Experience with cloud data platforms, automated testing, deployment pipelines, operational monitoring, and production debugging.
- Experience partnering with Product, Architecture, Data Governance, platform-engineering, Risk, and Operations teams.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience in the payment or banking industry or a related product-based company, including relevant domain knowledge.
- At least 5 years working in Agile/POD environments using Scrum or Kanban and at least 5 years leading teams of eight or more.
- Strongly preferred experience in Asset Servicing, Fund Accounting, Custody, Middle Office, Transfer Agency, or Capital Markets.
- Beneficial experience with enterprise metadata platforms, UCM or UPM, OpenAI APIs or comparable services, graph technologies, orchestration frameworks, and event platforms.
- Experience with AI-based technologies or solutions such as Copilot and Windsurf, and awareness of AI, ML, and LLM concepts.
