Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an AI security framework covering secure model adoption, training data pipelines, RAG architectures, and fine-tuning environments.
- Architect and operationalize guardrails and contextual access controls to mitigate AI threats and enforce least-privilege principles across LLMs and agentic workflows.
- Lead AI red-teaming, threat modeling, and mapping of adversarial tactics to MITRE ATLAS and the OWASP Top 10 for LLMs.
- Develop security metrics and reporting frameworks for executives, compliance, and legal stakeholders.
- Partner with application and data engineering teams to establish secure-by-default AI blueprints and promote responsible AI usage.
- Manage other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in technical security engineering, application security, cloud security infrastructure, or software engineering focused on data security or AI frameworks.
- Experience evaluating LLM security postures, implementing alignment guardrails, or managing AWS/GCP IAM boundaries is preferred.
- Familiarity with frontier AI technologies such as Claude Code and Codex is preferred.
- Experience communicating technical AI risks and architectural implications to non-technical business, legal, and compliance partners is preferred.
- Ability to independently commit, review, and manage code across multiple enterprise repositories is preferred.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and health insurance data regulations is preferred.
- A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Cybersecurity is preferred.

- Base pay is $163,944-$215,176 per year, with employee benefits, unlimited vacation, equity grants, and annual performance bonuses.

- The role is based in Oscar's New York City office and requires a hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office per week, including Thursdays; the other two office days are flexible.
