Base Salary
$153k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale infrastructure for feature stores, training pipelines, model serving, inference, and observability.
- Build and optimize distributed systems for large-scale ML and AI workloads with strong performance, reliability, scalability, and latency.
- Develop scheduling solutions to improve GPU utilization and efficiency for training and inference workloads.
- Evolve the LLM gateway through intelligent model routing, query and prompt understanding, and context optimization.
- Support reliable serving of open-weight and fine-tuned models across the company.
- Partner with engineering teams to understand infrastructure needs and build scalable, reusable solutions.
- Own operational health through monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and on-call participation.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience focused on infrastructure, distributed systems, or large-scale backend platforms.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating distributed systems in production.
- Experience solving infrastructure challenges involving latency optimization, resource utilization, scalability, and production reliability.
- Strong software development and system design skills with end-to-end ownership of complex technical problems.
- Experience working with infrastructure technologies and tools in production environments.
- Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and contribute to foundational engineering projects.
- Interest in machine learning and AI infrastructure and willingness to work across traditional infrastructure and emerging AI technologies.
- Experience with ML infrastructure, model training or serving, GPU workload scheduling, LLM gateways, or open-source infrastructure technologies is a bonus.
