Responsibilities
- Work with strategic customers to understand requirements, identify opportunities, and deliver AMD hardware and software value.
- Close software-stack gaps needed to support customer solutions and develop alongside customers from proof of concept through production.
- Optimize GPU collective communication primitives, attention, and KV-cache operations.
- Analyze performance across CPU and GPU workloads, debug issues, and research more efficient implementations.
- Translate customer insights into actionable feedback for AMD’s AI roadmap.
- Use Agentic AI to automate workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with open-source communities and communicate project status to executive leadership.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Experience with GPU kernel programming using CUDA or HIP.
- Expertise with modern LLM serving frameworks such as vLLM and SGLang.
- Experience implementing and optimizing attention and KV-cache primitives on GPU accelerators.
- Strong CPU and GPU performance analysis and optimization skills.
- Direct client-engagement experience solving ambiguous technical problems.
- Experience with open-source software development and collaboration with community maintainers.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
