Riot GamesResponsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver internet-scale backend services for a globally distributed game.
- Develop and support multi-service architecture for globally scalable services.
- Build features spanning in-game functionality through backend service implementation.
- Improve server reliability and performance through new features and infrastructure.
- Implement server infrastructure supporting gameplay features.
- Build and support live services for the game.
- Work with cloud technologies and services such as AWS.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with art, design, and other game development disciplines.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building large-scale backend systems or game services.
- Experience developing large systems from scratch, including requirements gathering and scalable, production-ready architecture design.
- BS degree or equivalent experience.
- Expertise with C++ and Golang.
- Experience with cloud computing and cloud technologies.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience as a technical lead.
- Preferred: experience with global-scale online games, mobile game development, and both client- and service-side architecture.
- Preferred: experience with CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins and containerization technologies such as Docker.
