Responsibilities
- Own projects from ideation to production, including planning, design, and implementation.
- Generate design ideas and solutions for complex, cross-team problems.
- Design and architect scalable distributed systems with full production ownership.
- Lead product delivery discussions and obtain stakeholder buy-in on technical designs.
- Drive the migration strategy from monolithic to microservices architecture.
- Independently troubleshoot complex production incidents and provide remediation steps.
- Conduct code reviews focusing on systems design and engineering best practices.
- Mentor staff and senior engineers to develop future technical leaders.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software development experience in building mission-critical software.
- Deep expertise in object-oriented languages, particularly Java.
- Expert-level knowledge of Spring Boot framework and modern Java practices.
- Solid experience with relational databases, caching layers, and cloud storage.
- Experience with directory services like Active Directory and LDAP.
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Proven track record of leading cross-team technical initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills and strong mentorship capabilities.
