Responsibilities
- Architect, design, build, and lead highly scalable software systems across multiple teams.
- Define technical vision, roadmaps, architecture standards, and long-term execution strategies with product and engineering leadership.
- Own mission-critical software across design, implementation, automated testing, global delivery, and observability.
- Lead new product-line development and reduce deep architectural technical debt.
- Lead architecture reviews, code reviews, retrospectives, and continuous operational-improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with QA, Technical Support, Documentation, UX, Product Management, Engineering Directors, and Principal Architects.
- Mentor senior, staff, and mid-level engineers and promote knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
Requirements
- 13+ years of experience architecting, delivering, and operating large-scale distributed systems for global performance.
- Deep experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Express in modern web ecosystems.
- Extensive experience designing and operating highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure using Kubernetes and Docker on AWS and GCP.
- Advanced experience designing, versioning, and securing enterprise APIs using RESTful, GraphQL, and gRPC protocols.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, automated testing, and test automation tools such as Playwright.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant industry experience.
- Preferred experience with data modeling, query optimization, PostgreSQL, Terraform, containerization, orchestration, and scaling large codebases.
