Responsibilities
- Lead the design of scalable, resilient backend services supporting endpoint security.
- Make architectural decisions for distributed systems, microservices, and cloud infrastructure.
- Design and implement complex backend systems for cybersecurity data processing.
- Build high-performance APIs and services handling millions of security events.
- Lead cloud-native architecture implementation using AWS, microservices, and containers.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers on technical design and engineering best practices.
- Lead technical discussions across multiple engineering teams and drive engineering standards, practices, and tooling adoption.
- Lead proofs of concept for new architectural approaches and technologies.
- Promote AI-powered development tools and AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Perform monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, system reliability, performance optimization, automation, and production system management.
Requirements
- 9+ years of backend engineering experience and 3+ years in technical leadership roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Go, Python, or Java for backend development.
- Deep expertise in AWS, including Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, distributed systems, and cloud-native design patterns.
- Understanding of security architecture, cybersecurity principles, threat detection, and security data processing.
- Experience with observability, including monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, and system reliability practices.
- Experience with high-throughput systems, caching strategies, and optimization.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, infrastructure as code, CI/CD, automation, and production system management.
- Experience with databases, data streaming, and large-scale data processing.
- C#/.NET experience is a nice-to-have.
- Candidates may need authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export-control laws.
