Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, test, deliver, and support Java APIs, microservices, and components for the OMaaP payment platform.
- Create and maintain integrations with Kafka, Elastic, Cassandra, and other distributed-system components.
- Contribute to architecture discussions covering service boundaries, data models, event-driven communication, and performance.
- Collaborate with operations engineers on API integrations, deployments, monitoring, and production support.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, refinement, code reviews, and iterative delivery cycles.
- Automate deployment, functional testing, technical testing, and related development processes.
- Set up and maintain Prometheus delivery metrics, monitoring, and alerting.
- Investigate, reproduce, and resolve issues across test, acceptance, and production environments.
- Maintain technical documentation and mentor less-experienced team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and maintaining high-quality Java 17+ and Spring Boot microservices in distributed environments.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, Docker, OpenShift, Azure DevOps, Cassandra, and the ELK stack.
- Strong experience designing, evolving, and maintaining RESTful APIs, including domain models, validation flows, and integration contracts.
- Experience with unit and integration testing using JUnit and Karate Framework.
- Ability to contribute to architecture discussions, provide estimates, and participate effectively in sprint planning and refinement.
- Strong problem-solving, code review, engineering standards, mentoring, and technical documentation skills.
- Excellent English communication skills.
