Base Salary

$251k - $363k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver scalable, supportable, maintainable production applications and product capabilities.
  • Own architecture, technical strategy, system design, code quality, deployments, and operational support across multiple teams.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to gather requirements and document technical specifications and solutions.
  • Communicate technical solutions to architecture groups and leadership and participate in design and code reviews.
  • Mentor junior and principal-level engineers, set engineering standards, and lead proof-of-concept and benchmarking efforts.
  • Troubleshoot complex system-level stability and scalability issues and evaluate new technologies and third-party tools.
  • Build agentic systems and leverage AI to improve productivity across the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or Computer Science with 17+ years of relevant industry experience, or a master’s degree with 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical leadership and architecture.
  • 10+ years of development experience in AWS cloud or similar environments.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java.
  • Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, APIs, microservices architecture, data platforms, multi-tenant services, and production operations.
  • Preferred experience with SSE/SASE, zero-trust architecture, identity-aware access, authorization, secure web access, data protection, DNS security, browser isolation, or digital experience monitoring.
  • Preferred experience with LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation, agent orchestration, tool calling, prompt and context management, model evaluation, LLMOps, AI safety, guardrails, and responsible AI.
  • Preferred experience with streaming data, feature engineering, anomaly detection, behavioral or graph analytics, model drift, explainability, feedback loops, and investigation or analyst workflows.
  • Preferred experience with high-volume data pipelines and technologies such as Kafka, Kubernetes, and NoSQL.
  • Preferred experience with modern frontend frameworks, TypeScript, component or design systems, web performance, accessibility, browser security, API design, and backend-for-frontend architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, research emerging technologies, lead teams, inspire others, debug complex systems, resolve cross-organization architectural tensions, and communicate with mixed audiences.

  • Base salary range of $250,600.00 to $362,600.00, excluding incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
