Base Salary
$175k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for the architecture, design, and development of network software for wireless communication systems.
- Develop data-plane, control-plane, security, remote-management, and cloud-management capabilities.
- Build Layer 2 networking, switching, traffic classification, SLA enforcement, and security services for point-to-multipoint wireless access systems.
- Develop network and device management features including hardware interfaces, switch management, configuration, telemetry, alarms, diagnostics, and WebUI functionality.
- Create scalable network and cloud management, provisioning, configuration, and administration frameworks.
- Drive software issues through debugging and resolution and participate in multiple stages of cloud software development and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- At least 12 years of relevant software development experience.
- Experience shipping working products in networking, telecom, or embedded domains.
- Strong knowledge of packet forwarding, routing, bridging, switching, VLANs, Ethernet services, and Ethernet OA&M.
- Advanced knowledge of computer networks, TCP/IP, protocols, and Internet architecture.
- Deep understanding of UNIX-style operating systems, including IPC and multithreading.
- Experience with socket, network, and systems programming in C/C++.
- Experience with network and cloud management, configuration, provisioning, and administration systems.
- Knowledge of SNMP, YANG models, NETCONF, LDAP, HTTP, OpenFlow, and TR-69.
- Knowledge of authentication, security, encapsulation, and tunneling technologies including IPSec, CAPWAP, and 802.1X.
- Experience using AI agents throughout the software lifecycle, from requirements through debugging field issues.
- Experience with version control systems and collaboration tools.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive issues to closure.
- Telecom or embedded software development experience for carrier or enterprise products is preferred.
