Responsibilities
- Implement internal and edge networking infrastructure for global, multi-cloud, and multi-region environments.
- Design and develop services, tools, and automation that expose network functionality to Okta engineering and operations teams.
- Research and implement solutions for routing, failover, scaling, and other cross-cutting networking concerns.
- Carry cross-team initiatives through coding, design reviews, code reviews, security hygiene, and operational robustness.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software development experience in cloud-native services such as APIs.
- Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and TLS.
- Experience with DevOps using cloud-agnostic and cloud-native technologies.
- Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform.
- Experience contributing to Go-based services.
- Ability to work on highly reliable, maintainable, scalable, and secure global distributed systems.
- Preferred experience with AWS or Azure, major content delivery networks, service mesh architectures, Istio/Envoy Proxy, Kubernetes Gateway API, multi-cloud networking topologies, and hybrid connectivity using Direct Connect or Cloud Interconnect.
