- Design end-to-end LLM training and fine-tuning pipelines using construction-domain datasets from drawings, building codes, product specifications, and documentation.
- Apply computer vision and multimodal learning to connect visual and textual representations of building data.
- Develop reinforcement learning approaches for generative architectural design and RAG systems grounded in construction knowledge bases.
- Define benchmarks, build ground-truth datasets, establish evaluation pipelines, and research foundation models and parameter-efficient fine-tuning methods.
- Deliver documented model artifacts, serving-ready pipelines, and API contracts for integration into the Higharc platform.
- Partner with the Prototyping Engineer to deploy fine-tuned models and RAG systems.
Requirements

- Hands-on experience with HuggingFace Transformers, PyTorch, model training, and fine-tuning workflows on domain-specific corpora.
- Practical experience with RAG architectures, vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or pgvector, and embedding model selection.
- Research or production experience with 3D modeling, computational geometry, or computer graphics.
- Strong Python proficiency across the ML ecosystem and React/TypeScript proficiency for integration work.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or a closely related field.
- A Ph.D., open-source contributions, or published research is a plus.
- Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, IFC, gbXML, Three.js, or equivalent 3D frameworks is a plus.
Benefits

About Higharc
Higharc builds a Homebuilding Cloud platform used by production homebuilders to design, estimate, sell, and manage construction. Its SaaS suite includes Studio, a browser-based 2D/3D design tool that drives estimating, showrooms, and construction documents across a single data model. Founded in 2018, the privately held, US-remote company is VC-backed and focuses on residential builders and community developers.
