Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI and machine-learning components for production use cases such as bug analysis and system analytics.
- Build and maintain ML pipelines for data ingestion, preprocessing, training, evaluation, and inference.
- Deploy and operate AI systems in CARIAD infrastructure, including monitoring, performance optimization, and continuous model improvement.
- Collaborate with data science, software engineering, and product teams to align AI solutions.
- Evaluate emerging AI/ML methods, tools, and architectures for practical use.
- Share AI knowledge and empower team members and colleagues with AI tools.
Requirements
- Degree in a technical field or a comparable qualification.
- Strong software-development background with hands-on experience building and maintaining production systems.
- Knowledge of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning and their real-world applications.
- Proficiency in Python and C++, including experience integrating ML models into applications or services through MLOps.
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, scalable AI workload deployment, and MCP servers.
- Understanding of data handling and preparation, large datasets, and feature engineering.
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Professional English proficiency at C1 level; German language skills are advantageous.
