Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable automated test frameworks for RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Define and implement advanced API validation strategies, including authentication and error handling.
- Conduct security-focused testing, including token validation and access control verification.
- Integrate automated API and security test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure API contract adherence and backward compatibility.
- Evaluate and test secure integrations with third-party services.
- Analyze test failures and production incidents to improve test coverage.
- Mentor other automation engineers and contribute to automation architecture planning.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA automation with a focus on API testing.
- Proficiency in tools like Postman and REST Assured.
- Experience scripting in Python or JavaScript.
- Strong hands-on experience with Pytest and familiarity with Jest testing.
- Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, and other authentication methods.
- Understanding of common API vulnerabilities and testing methods.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of HTTP, JSON, and common API protocols.
- Knowledge of ECC and RSA encryption is desirable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
