Responsibilities
- Write and review solution designs for new developments.
- Design, develop, maintain, improve, and optimize software solutions within the team’s responsibility.
- Develop and maintain automated tests and support quality assurance.
- Collaborate with team leads, product owners, business analysts, technical leads, architects, clients, and partners.
- Participate in client workshops and support requirements analysis.
- Take ownership of the relevant area of expertise and work with agile processes and Jira.
- Develop software using PL/SQL and Avaloq Script for securities operations modules.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant software development experience.
- Good knowledge of database technologies, including SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
- Knowledge of Java programming.
- Python, C++, or similar programming experience is valuable.
- Ability to understand business needs and produce clean designs and high-quality code.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills with a structured and autonomous approach to complex technical and business problems.
- Experience in the financial industry or securities trading is a bonus.
- Experience with other trading system IT vendors is a bonus.
- A university degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferable.
- Knowledge of securities trading standards such as FIX, SWIFT MT, or MX (ISO20022) is a bonus.
