Responsibilities
- Advance the agent harness, including agent loops, tools, prompts, execution environments, and capabilities.
- Improve the default Cursor “Auto” experience through model selection based on user needs, model capabilities, and cost.
- Shape the default agent’s personality and behavior.
- Launch new models end-to-end by partnering with foundational model providers and the research team on integration, evaluation, and rollout.
- Ship production systems and help define agent behavior using data, user experience, and product judgment.
Requirements
- Experience building complex agentic products or infrastructure.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and a track record of shipping production systems.
- Strong judgment and opinions about model and agent behavior, with awareness of emerging research and industry trends.
- Ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations by balancing data, user experience, and product taste.
