Responsibilities
- Build user-facing features that translate nuclear regulatory workflows into intuitive interfaces.
- Own features end-to-end, including database design, API contracts, frontend interactions, query optimization, and production debugging.
- Define standards for code quality, design systems, testing, and product development processes.
- Collaborate with nuclear subject-matter experts and AI engineers to understand requirements and integrate model output.
- Make conscious tradeoffs between speed and product quality while communicating decisions clearly.
- Mentor engineers as the team scales and establish patterns through hands-on execution.
- Ship major features, improve performance and reliability, reduce customer-reported bugs, and own critical systems such as search, document viewing, compliance workflows, or core infrastructure.
Requirements
- 3–8 years of experience building production web applications with fullstack ownership.
- Expert-level TypeScript and React skills with a strong understanding of modern frontend patterns and UI/UX details.
- Solid backend fundamentals across APIs, databases, authentication, backend architecture, performance debugging, and scalable system design.
- Product sense focused on business outcomes and how users will use the product.
- Experience leading projects, making technical decisions, and owning outcomes.
- Experience with technical SaaS or regulated industries, strong design taste, or the ability to mock up flows in Figma is beneficial.
- Nuclear industry experience is not required.
