Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the multi-year technical roadmap and architecture for the RemoteCompose rendering stack across Android platform surfaces and form factors.
- Design the multi-target execution model across Android, microcontrollers, and WebAssembly, including platform abstraction layers, FFI bridges, and deterministic rendering across runtimes.
- Partner with Android platform engineering, UI frameworks, system surfaces, and product teams to integrate and scale the player.
- Set code health standards, memory and performance budgets, and review practices while mentoring engineers across the team.
- Implement 2D vector rendering, path math and morphing, AGSL shader pipelines, and curved or anchored text shaping for memory-constrained co-processors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
- 5 years of experience with Android application development.
- 5 years of experience with Linux Kernel, operating systems, and embedded systems.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred.
- 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction is preferred.
- Experience with C++ or Rust is preferred.
- Experience in the Android ecosystem and platform development is preferred.
- Experience in compiler, graphics, embedded systems, or photography is preferred.
Benefits
- US base pay is $207000 - $300000 USD, plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
