Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive complete development cycles for Pixel display projects from software design and hardware bring-up through implementation, testing, and launch.
- Own display features including device controls, automatic brightness algorithms, color management and calibration, image enhancement, and thermal and power management.
- Collaborate with Pixel display software, Android platform, and external partner teams to deliver vertically integrated solutions.
- Develop production-device infrastructure for telemetry, on-device diagnostics, and updatability.
- Lead other engineers and apply expertise in display devices and SoC subsystems to real Pixel products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development, including technologies such as C, C++, or Java.
- 5 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- 5 years of experience with Android development or Android internals.
- Experience with the Linux Kernel.
- Preferred: master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience with display technologies and concepts, embedded mobile software development based on Linux, and managing or acting as a technical lead for small or medium-sized teams.

- US base salary of $207000-$300000, plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
