Base Salary
$150k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the native C++ build system for autonomous aircraft software.
- Improve developer velocity by reducing build and test cycle times and eliminating pipeline bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with software engineers to understand requirements, design solutions, and implement improvements.
- Resolve build and test failures and establish integration best practices with developers.
- Integrate CI pipelines with hardware-in-the-loop and simulation environments for automated validation.
- Implement monitoring, dashboards, and alerts for local and CI build-system performance.
- Use agentic solutions to identify build-failure root causes and provide feedback to software engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field with 7+ years of industry experience, or a master’s/PhD with 5+ years of experience.
- Deep CMake and C++ expertise or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of dependency management and proficiency with Conan or CPM.
- Proficiency with containers and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud build clusters.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
- Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into CI pipelines.
- Demonstrated success improving developer productivity at scale.
- A track record of excellence as a primary contributor through complete development cycles.
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab.
- Cloud operations experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Background in robotics, autonomy, or aerospace systems is valued.
