Responsibilities
- Build scalable, reliable, modular, maintainable, and performant Java API services.
- Translate designs into high-quality code and write unit tests.
- Own APIs through production, including ongoing support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and contribute to shared technical objectives.
- Use GitHub Copilot and generative AI tools for coding, refactoring, debugging, testing, documentation, and development assistance.
- Apply prompt engineering and critically review, validate, and optimize AI-generated code.
- Maintain responsible AI development, security, performance, scalability, and quality controls.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, and web-service integration.
- Experience building complex, highly scalable, and high-performing systems.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, computer science fundamentals, and software design.
- Experience with code quality practices, unit testing, and exposure to Test Driven Development.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI-powered coding assistants.
- Working knowledge of generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted software development.
- Ability to evaluate AI-generated code and apply secure and responsible AI development practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and solution-seeking skills.
- Agile Scrum experience.
