Responsibilities
- Design and implement services, adapters, and agents with clear interfaces and strong test coverage.
- Migrate and refactor legacy components while preserving existing behavior.
- Build secure, observable, and resilient components that run unattended at customer sites.
- Develop and maintain APIs, data integrations, scheduling, retries, timeouts, cancellation, and failure-isolation mechanisms.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and release support.
- Mentor peers.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of software development experience.
- Strong production experience with C#, .NET Framework 4.x, modern .NET, asynchronous programming, dependency injection, and configuration.
- Experience with ASP.NET Core, Worker Services, Windows services, and hosting code across Windows and Linux/containers.
- Experience migrating .NET Framework projects to modern .NET, including replacing System.Web, OWIN, and WCF dependencies, multi-targeting, and characterization testing.
- Knowledge of Windows platform components including WMI, the registry, event logs, certificate stores, service accounts, 32-bit/64-bit operation, and native interop.
- Experience designing versioned REST APIs with authentication, authorization, and OpenAPI.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Npgsql, EF Core or Dapper, and database migrations; exposure to SQL Server and SQLite.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, xUnit or NUnit, mocking, and TDD practices.
- Good-to-have experience with RabbitMQ, outbox and idempotent-delivery patterns, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Python, WiX/MSI installers, OPC UA, or OT/ICS environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
