Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure software implementations meet design constraints.
- Develop and maintain Java backend applications using Spring Framework, JMS, Kafka, Hibernate, RESTful services, JSON, and relational databases.
- Provide rotating 24x7 Developer Level 3 operational support for applications.
- Analyze and visualize large, diverse data sets to identify patterns and improve application coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation to improve delivery effectiveness.
- Guide peers on responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database query languages.
- Strong Core Java 17+, Spring Framework, JMS, Kubernetes, Claude Technologies, RESTful services, Kafka, Hibernate, JSON, relational databases, Oracle, complex SQL querying, and UNIX.
- Strong object-oriented analysis, design, and development skills with knowledge of design patterns.
- Proficiency with Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, IntelliJ IDEA, Cucumber, JUnit, and other build tools.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate and refine generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, software development lifecycles, application resiliency, security, and agile practices.
- Preferred: financial domain knowledge, Scrum experience, and exposure to cloud-based projects.
