Base Salary
$166k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and ship performant PostgreSQL queries and Node.js APIs for the real-time decision engine
- Own end-to-end systems that allow clients to manage lists of people, accounts, or countries for automated fraud and risk decisions
- Build and extend the AI feature that explains manual-review flags and recommends decisions using AWS Bedrock, SQS, and webhooks
- Gather requirements from internal stakeholders, customers, and channel partners and turn them into scoped features
- Partner with the engineering team on system design as Decisioning services expand for enterprise-scale rollouts
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of production backend services
- Hands-on experience writing and optimizing SQL, including query plans, indexing, and performance under load
- Production experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Ability to turn ambiguous requests into scoped, iterative, generalizable features
- Experience communicating directly with internal stakeholders or customers to clarify scope
- Experience with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or a similar search and indexing system at scale is preferred
- Experience integrating LLMs into a production feature using Bedrock or a similar platform is preferred
- Fintech, banking, or other regulated-industry experience is preferred
- React or similar frontend experience is preferred
