Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction of the subscriber-management backend.
- Define architecture for a high-performance, highly available distributed system.
- Develop hands-on in Python and guide the team in development practices.
- Improve resilience, quality, testability, and development velocity.
- Operate the team’s solution in production, including observability, alerting, and deployment practices such as canary releases.
- Develop understanding of complex business processes including third-party billing, service subscriptions, and fiber connections.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python 3, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and SQL.
- Experience with high-performance, highly available distributed systems.
- Experience with Linux, Docker, observability, alerting, and Grafana.
- Knowledge of testing best practices and production deployment methods such as canarying.
- Security-by-design awareness.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and Kubernetes.
- Optional: familiarity with Kafka or another data bus.
- Optional: frontend development experience with React.
