Base Salary
$195k - $293k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop tactical autonomy software for unmanned platforms operating across air, land, sea, and space domains.
- Implement and test behaviors for multi-agent coordination, target engagement, reconnaissance, and survivability.
- Own software architecture and lifecycle activities from requirements capture through implementation, verification, validation, deployment, and sustainment.
- Create scalable, reusable behavior subsystems that interface with sensing, state estimation, communications, contingency management, actuation, and payload systems.
- Lead technical direction and represent software engineering in multidisciplinary stakeholder environments.
- Collaborate with vehicle integration teams, external teams, and operational subject matter experts to define interfaces and deliver capabilities.
- Travel up to 20% to co-locate with end users and other teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in production-level C++ software development.
- At least 7 years of experience in software subsystem scheduling and integration, behavior planning, task and resource allocation, motion planning, optimization, or flight controls.
- Experience with collaborative software development tools for version control, issue tracking, code reviews, and release management.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, set technical direction, and manage projects from concept through deployment.
- Ability to own an entire software system, including stakeholder engagement, requirements, roadmap management, coordination, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
- Experience mentoring junior team members and building team cohesion.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience includes mission systems integration, flight demonstrations, collaborative mission planning, motion planning, weapons target assignment, collision avoidance, navigation and communications systems, robotics software, simulation, systems engineering, and high-assurance software development.
