Responsibilities
- Design and ship user-facing frontend features end to end, from technical design through launch and post-launch follow-through.
- Build fast, testable React interfaces for search, catalog navigation, lineage, and AI-assisted analysis.
- Profile and improve performance for large trees, tables, and streaming AI surfaces.
- Partner with design and product to shape problems and improve UX, speed, and polish.
- Raise frontend quality through code reviews, documentation, and complex bug fixes.
- Mentor other engineers and help the team produce maintainable frontend code.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building customer-facing frontend products at a high-quality software company.
- Strong React and TypeScript fundamentals with deep experience in JavaScript and its ecosystem.
- Experience building frontend applications at scale, including bundling, linting, testing, and releasing.
- Experience with modern testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Track record of driving complex end-to-end features with visible product impact.
- Experience engineering medium- to large-scope software systems.
- Experience mentoring more junior engineers.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Comfort working with limited PM overhead and shaping problems rather than only implementing solutions.
- Experience with component libraries and design systems, including Atlassian Design System or similar, is preferred.
- Experience building accessible, performant web applications with virtualized lists, large trees, or data-dense UIs is preferred.
- Experience with search, catalog, or AI-assisted product interfaces is preferred.
