Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build and own scalable user interfaces and features across new and existing DuckDuckGo products.
- Develop performant, pragmatic, and testable frontend code across settings, devices, and browsers.
- Lead and contribute to frontend projects with little to no oversight.
- Improve frontend software architecture and maintain major components of the codebase over time.
- Prioritize privacy and user experience throughout the engineering process.
- Collaborate with backend, Android, iOS, product, and design teams.
- Define success criteria and metrics and validate product decisions against them.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in roles where writing code was the primary responsibility.
- Advanced JavaScript, HTML, and CSS expertise.
- Advanced React and TypeScript expertise.
- Advanced web application architecture expertise.
- Experience building large-scale web applications.
- Experience contributing to technical architecture decisions for complex products.
- Experience leading engineering projects independently.
- Experience collaborating with engineers across backend and mobile platforms.
- Experience collaborating with product and design teams to build polished consumer-facing products.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and ideas.
