Base Salary
$170k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services for licensing, entitlements, feature access, usage limits, and packaging rules.
- Build provisioning, onboarding, account setup, entitlement propagation, and auto-provisioning workflows.
- Develop multi-tenant administration infrastructure including access controls, account settings, account hierarchies, RBAC, and authorization patterns.
- Build MSP/MSSP capabilities for asset allocation, sub-client management, usage visibility, and reporting.
- Implement audit logging and event history systems for administrative, entitlement, usage, and account-level actions.
- Develop notification infrastructure for usage warnings, alerts, overage notices, announcements, and other communications.
- Operate production services through monitoring, runbooks, incident response, support workflows, and observability.
- Collaborate with adjacent platform teams to apply entitlement, access, and account-hierarchy rules consistently.
- Contribute high-quality, well-tested production code and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience using modern object-oriented or functional languages such as Python, Go, TypeScript, Java, Scala, or C++.
- Experience building production applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ability to independently own concurrent initiatives, prioritize effectively, and collaborate across engineering, product, and design.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS platforms, tenant isolation, access controls, data scoping, and account hierarchies is desired.
- Hands-on experience with RBAC, authorization, authentication, or SSO systems is desired.
- Experience with licensing, subscription, entitlement, usage metering, billing-adjacent systems, audit logs, provisioning, feature flags, admin consoles, MSP/MSSP models, or notification infrastructure is desired.
- Production reliability experience including observability, on-call ownership, runbooks, and incident response is desired.
- Expert SQL proficiency and experience with relational database architectures, particularly PostgreSQL, are desired.
