Responsibilities
- Design and implement features for the Inbound domain and its mission-critical warehouse logic.
- Own technical architecture for distributed systems handling high concurrency and real-time communication with autonomous robots, iOS picker devices, and automatic conveyors.
- Optimize SQL and backend performance against terabyte-sized databases and Black Friday-scale traffic.
- Build and operate highly available services with failover and autoscaling.
- Participate in strict two-round code reviews and maintain automated documentation and engineering standards.
- Use asynchronous communication through Asana while focusing on measurable business outcomes.
Requirements
- Senior-level or above PHP development experience.
- Ability to take ownership of technical design and implementation for complex distributed systems.
- Experience with high concurrency, race conditions, SQL optimization, and high-availability systems.
- Business-oriented judgment when balancing technical trade-offs with practical product needs.
- Willingness to work with the stated PHP backend, database, testing, CI, infrastructure, and observability stack.
