Responsibilities

  • Develop efficient, scalable, and maintainable backend features for the UniFi application.
  • Develop REST APIs and integrations with network device firmware and other UniFi OS applications.
  • Participate in feature design, development, and testing.
  • Conduct code reviews for other team members.

Requirements

  • Senior-level engineering experience, typically 5+ years shipping production systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking skills, including the ability to break down ambiguous problems and design effective solutions.
  • Good understanding of SOLID principles and experience in web application development.
  • Daily, fluent use of AI coding assistants as a core part of the workflow.
  • Fluency in English and Czech.
  • Kotlin and Spring framework knowledge is preferred.
  • Advanced networking knowledge and familiarity with networking, virtualization, storage, and hardware are preferred.
  • Experience with Bash and Unix is preferred.
