Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python backend services for UniFi and UISP cloud hosting.
- Build automation for provisioning, upgrades, backups, recovery, migration, and hosted-instance lifecycle management.
- Design reliable deployment and migration workflows using AWS infrastructure and containerized services.
- Investigate production issues across application, operating system, network, and infrastructure layers.
- Improve hosting-platform reliability, observability, scalability, and security.
- Review technical designs and code, collaborate with engineering teams, and help evolve the platform architecture.
Requirements
- Strong software development experience with Python.
- Strong Linux knowledge and experience debugging production systems.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with containers, Docker, Git, and modern software development workflows.
- Ability to troubleshoot across application, operating system, network, and infrastructure layers.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Go, AWS, Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code experience, CI/CD and deployment automation, Bash or other scripting, large-scale service operations, monitoring and observability tooling, and a security-minded approach to infrastructure and backend development.
