Responsibilities
- Develop, extend, and maintain central fleet-software components in modern C++.
- Implement complex planning and control logic with a focus on stability and performance.
- Design clear software architectures and modular, scalable structures.
- Analyze and optimize runtime behavior, performance, and memory consumption.
- Support software integration, debugging, and system testing.
- Collaborate closely with robot software, simulation, safety, and test and validation teams.
- Document technical concepts and decisions to support maintainability.
- Contribute to reducing technical debt and advancing the robotics platform.
Requirements
- Completed degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field.
- Several years of professional experience developing C++ software in complex systems.
- Very good knowledge of modern C++, such as C++17 or C++20, and modular software development.
- Experience integrating distributed software components and working with system architectures.
- Knowledge of performance and runtime analysis as well as memory optimization.
- Experience debugging and analyzing complex software systems.
- Structured, analytical, quality-oriented working style with a high degree of ownership.
- Good written and spoken German and English skills.
