Responsibilities

Own and evolve the architecture of the C++ core software for mobile robotics solutions.
Define module, layer, and responsibility structures within the software architecture.
Design and safeguard stable APIs and interfaces between system components.
Evaluate technical decisions for quality, performance, and maintainability.
Identify and reduce technical debt at the system and architecture levels.
Collaborate with robot software, fleet software, safety, and test and validation teams.
Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews and support debugging and integration.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to developers to ensure high code quality.

Degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable field.
Many years of professional experience in C++ software development and software architecture.
Very strong knowledge of modern C++, including C++17 or C++20 and memory and threading models.
Solid experience with software architecture, API design, and modular systems.
Knowledge of performance, runtime, and stability analysis for complex software systems.
Experience with technical leadership, architecture ownership, or mentoring.
Strong systems thinking, decision-making ability, and structured working style.
Good written and spoken German and English skills.
