Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for payment gateway APIs, backend services, and web applications.
- Automate testing for authorization, capture, refunds, voids, tokenization, and recurring payment flows.
- Perform REST and SOAP API, integration, regression, end-to-end, performance, and load testing.
- Validate PCI-compliant workflows and secure handling of sensitive payment data.
- Test ERP, accounting system, gateway, and third-party processor integrations.
- Collaborate with software engineers, QA, and product teams to identify issues, close test gaps, and improve testability.
- Monitor and improve test coverage, reliability, and execution time in CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews and document test strategies, test cases, and quality metrics.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or similar.
- Strong programming skills in one or more of Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience building automated tests for APIs and backend systems.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, Postman, or similar test frameworks.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience testing financial systems or payment gateways.
- Strong SQL and database validation knowledge.
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
- Preferred experience with payment processing, card networks, merchant services, PCI DSS, ERP or accounting integrations, performance testing tools, cloud platforms, and containerized environments.
