Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain production-grade AI applications and services using modern software engineering, testing, observability, and cloud-native practices.
- Define and implement reusable, scalable platforms and tools for conversational bots, AI-powered search, unstructured data processing, and generative business intelligence.
- Work with business stakeholders in cross-functional and embedded projects to rapidly build and deploy AI solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate LLMs, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents, and other AI tools, frameworks, and APIs.
- Automate data ingestion, preprocessing, evaluation, model integration, and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to deliver reliable AI products end to end.
- Contribute to internal knowledge bases, tooling libraries, documentation, and AI engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Proven professional software engineering experience and the ability to independently design and ship complex production systems.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages, with experience building backend systems, APIs, and microservices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance engineering rigor with delivery speed.
- Understanding of software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience integrating machine learning models into production systems, including LLM APIs, fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and agents.
- Ability to maintain code quality, test coverage, and operational excellence while moving quickly.
- Preferred experience with LangGraph, Haystack, Hugging Face, Weaviate, LlamaIndex, Crew AI, or AutoGen.
- Preferred hands-on experience building retrieval-augmented generation applications, AI agents, chatbots, search systems, generative AI interfaces, and production-grade AI applications.
- Preferred experience processing unstructured documents, conversations, and images into structured formats.
- Preferred background in platform engineering, internal developer tools, or embedded and forward-deployed team models.
