Base Salary
$112k - $179k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead production application support, incident detection, triage, mitigation, restoration, executive communication, and corrective action tracking.
- Conduct blameless root-cause analyses and lead multi-stakeholder remediation roadmaps.
- Build reusable Terraform modules and GitLab project and pipeline templates for application self-service onboarding.
- Operate onboarding workflows covering repositories, CI/CD, quotas, RBAC, security gates, documentation, and module catalogs.
- Operate containerized workloads on OpenShift (ROSA) and Amazon EKS across AWS Commercial and GovCloud.
- Engineer AWS environments and automate infrastructure and configuration management with Terraform and Ansible.
- Operate GitLab CI/CD, support Jenkins-to-GitLab migration, and implement progressive delivery and policy-driven security gates.
- Manage observability using Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, and OpenSearch.
- Enforce STIG, CIS, organizational compliance, vulnerability management, ATO artifacts, audits, and continuous compliance reporting.
- Set engineering standards, review architecture, mentor engineers, and represent application support in cross-functional planning.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent and 12 years of experience.
- At least 8 years of hands-on AWS experience in platform engineering, application operations, networking, and security across Commercial and GovCloud environments.
- Strong experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EBS, ELB/ALB/NLB, Route 53, CloudWatch, and OpenSearch.
- Experience with Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, and/or OpenSearch for observability.
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible/Ansible Tower for infrastructure as code and configuration management.
- Hands-on experience leading production application support, incident command, RCA facilitation, and corrective actions.
- Experience building developer self-service onboarding or platform-as-a-product capabilities with Terraform and GitLab.
- Experience maturing CI/CD toward progressive delivery and driving strategic change across business units.
- Strong senior technical or advisory leadership, communication, customer engagement, and critical-incident management skills.
- Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, CKA or CKAD, and HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
- Experience obtaining or maintaining an ATO in a FedRAMP High environment is preferred.
