Responsibilities
- Design and maintain secure AWS and Azure cloud architectures aligned with best practices and compliance requirements.
- Review software and infrastructure architectures to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Develop security controls covering IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and monitoring.
- Lead automated pipelines and tooling for go-live security reviews integrated with CI/CD workflows.
- Govern cloud environments against SOC 2, ISO 27001, SOX, CJIS, and organizational compliance standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior security engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Support incident response teams with guidance on cloud-related security incidents.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of software development experience, including at least 4 years focused on cloud security architecture.
- Strong software development background in Python, Go, Java, or similar languages.
- Deep expertise in AWS and Azure, including native security services.
- Experience conducting software and infrastructure architecture reviews.
- Experience designing and implementing automated security review pipelines.
- Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Ansible, Puppet, or similar infrastructure-as-code and configuration-as-code tools.
- Experience with container security, including Kubernetes, EKS, or AKS, and with serverless architecture.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD integration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred: AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, or CCSP certification.
- Preferred: experience with multi-cloud security strategies and hybrid environments.
- Preferred: knowledge of NIST, CSA CCM, and MITRE ATT&CK security frameworks.
