Base Salary
$171k - $269k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate machine learning systems for personalized recommendations, engagement and activation journeys, cross-product expansion, and sales experiences.
- Build reliable data foundations, datasets, features, models, evaluation frameworks, and decisioning services at scale.
- Define and implement the strategy for evolving ML capabilities across short-, mid-, and long-term Growth objectives.
- Design system architectures, run offline policy evaluations and online experiments, and monitor attribution, latency, quality, and fairness.
- Partner with product, engineering, data science, analytics, marketing, and sales teams to develop measurable experiments and production capabilities.
- Optimize decisioning systems for durable customer and portfolio value rather than only short-term clicks or conversions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of related industry experience in machine learning.
- Expertise in Python and knowledge of Java and TypeScript, with the ability to write performant, production-quality code.
- Familiarity with SQL, Spark, and cloud data environments such as AWS and Databricks.
- Experience building and scaling machine learning models in business applications using large amounts of data.
- Experience building large-scale datasets and evaluation systems.
- Experience solving ambiguous and complex problems and communicating ML concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience partnering with product, analytics, marketing, or sales teams on personalized customer journeys or sales-assist experiences.
- Familiarity with contextual bandits, uplift modeling, recommender systems, policy evaluation, causal inference, or related approaches for optimizing decisions under uncertainty.
- Preferred experience includes consumer or B2C SaaS, enterprise or B2B products, and applying ML to growth, personalization, recommendations, ranking, experimentation, or decisioning problems.
