Responsibilities
- Automate cybersecurity architecture and Zero Trust capabilities within infrastructure-as-code, platforms, and mission applications.
- Engineer and integrate IAM, encryption, logging, monitoring, hardening, and compliance security controls.
- Support secure software deployments and containerized platforms while integrating cybersecurity tool pipelines and dashboards.
- Automate RMF security controls, evidence generation, vulnerability remediation, resiliency, drift correction, and system updates.
- Write Ansible playbooks and scripts, conduct peer reviews, and enforce patch management, SBOM, RBOM, and artifact generation.
- Collaborate with software development, IT, DevOps, hardware and engineering teams, and customers to improve security throughout the SDLC.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain the required polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, cyber engineering, systems engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of cyber engineering experience, including at least 5 years with modern software technologies.
- Experience with Kubernetes platform security, modular architectures, enterprise architecture, secure SDLC, and cloud-native security.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity toolsets, deployment methodologies, SIEM, SAST, DAST, SCA, and vulnerability exposure technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Zero Trust, micro-segmentation, identity-centric security, IaC, PaaS, RMF automation, metrics reporting, and telemetry pipelines.
- Security+ or CISSP certification, or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of onboarding.
- Experience with at least one scripting language and knowledge of Ansible playbooks and ArgoCD integration.
- Working knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, firewalls, packet inspection, and security across Linux, Windows, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred qualifications include multiple industry certifications, additional programming or scripting languages, DevSecOps tools, classified or regulated environments, compliance-as-code, threat modeling, and adversary emulation such as MITRE ATT&CK.
