Base Salary
$94k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate cloud-native systems, networks, and services using GitOps workflows.
- Build and operate network infrastructure and network management systems.
- Design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot highly converged IP networks.
- Collaborate with internal application teams to improve infrastructure usability and incorporate feedback.
- Help design and run systems that scale across data centers, edge locations, and public cloud environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues while participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Exposure to designing and building large-scale networks and understanding of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with switching and routing protocols such as Spanning Tree Protocols, OSPF, and BGP.
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python and experience with device APIs for automation.
- Experience with Linux, firewall policy management, and at least one major network operating system, including Cisco IOS, SONiC, Arista EOS, or a similar platform.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and remote-team collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in rail, shipping, airline, logistics, warehousing, supply chain, transportation, or a related industry preferred.
- Ability to work now and in the future without BNSF assistance in obtaining, maintaining, or extending employment authorization is preferred.
