Base Salary
$42k - $88k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and debug real-time, multi-threaded, multiprocessing software applications, APIs, and associated user interfaces for simulation and training.
- Collaborate with software engineers and project management to plan and prioritize development tasks on an Agile team.
- Support, maintain, and enhance existing software products.
- Learn and apply new technologies and techniques to new domains and problem sets.
Requirements
- Must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM major through completion of the internship.
- Experience with object-oriented design and programming using C/C++ and/or C#.
- Experience with unit testing using GoogleTest, NUnit, or similar tools.
- Experience with source code control such as Subversion, Git, or ClearCase.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for security-clearance eligibility.
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
- Preferred qualifications include written and oral communication skills, AI/ML or OpenAI development, Unreal Engine with C++ and Blueprints, virtual or mixed reality development, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, virtualization and cloud computing, PostgreSQL or other RDBMS databases, multithreading, IPCs, and continuous integration tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
