Base Salary
$42k - $88k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and debug real-time, multithreaded, multiprocessing software applications, APIs, and associated user interfaces for simulation and training.
- Collaborate with software engineers and project management to plan and prioritize development tasks on an Agile development team.
- Support, maintain, and enhance existing software products.
- Learn and apply new technologies and techniques to new domains and problem sets.
Requirements
- Must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related STEM major through completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Object-oriented design and programming experience using C, C++, and/or C#.
- Experience with source code control such as Subversion, Git, or ClearCase.
- Software development experience with Windows 10, Windows 11, and/or Linux.
- Preferred qualifications include Agile, Kanban, or Scrum experience; strong written and oral communication; unit testing and software maintenance experience; AI/ML or OpenAI experience; Unreal Engine with C++ and Blueprints; virtual or mixed reality development; Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, virtualization and cloud computing; PostgreSQL or other relational databases; multithreading and IPCs; and continuous integration tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
- U.S. citizenship, U.S. person status, or qualifying immigration status is required to access information under the program or contract.
