Base Salary
$149k - $248k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate architectural vision, standards, frameworks, policies, principles, and procedures.
- Lead technical design reviews and ensure architectural consistency and adherence to standards.
- Develop logical and technical architectures for project and platform initiatives and support delivery teams in realizing them.
- Evaluate performance, security, reliability, operations, technology, and interoperability requirements for scalable web solutions.
- Conduct technology research, discovery, prototyping, proof-of-concept development, and technology evaluations.
- Identify and resolve technology infrastructure problems and connect local teams with broader enterprise capabilities.
- Mentor engineers on business knowledge, technology, and career development.
- Recommend technology and process improvements and help define future technology roadmaps.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 8 years of related experience, or a master’s degree and 6 years, a Ph.D. and 3 years, or 12 years of related experience.
- At least 5 years of experience implementing structured design and architecture processes in a corporate environment.
- At least 8 years of full development lifecycle experience and significant experience delivering applications and architecture services in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services and offerings, particularly serverless patterns.
- At least 5 years of experience with API design patterns, including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, messaging-based APIs, and other architectural integration patterns.
- Strong verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder interaction skills.
- Software development experience with modern server-side computing stacks.
- Strong understanding of consumer-scale web solutions, distributed systems integration, and cloud computing platforms.
- Preferred: software development experience in modern browser environments using React-based single-page application patterns.
