ML/AI Compiler Engineer

- Design and implement AI/ML compiler technologies that optimize models for embedded hardware using C++ and LLVM.
- Develop compiler features for ARM- and RISC-V-based CPU cores and NXP-specific compiler frameworks.
- Implement graph compiler passes, model lowering, fusion, tiling, scheduling, and other performance optimizations for AI workloads.
- Analyze generated code with simulators, profilers, and analysis tools to improve code generation quality.
- Collaborate with hardware architects, ML researchers, architecture teams, internal compiler users, and global development teams.
- Contribute to the design, development, deployment, and open-source community surrounding compiler technologies.
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with significant exposure to Machine Learning, Edge AI, and Embedded Systems.
- 5+ years of professional experience with compiler technologies, including LLVM/MLIR, LLVM IR, Clang, compiler passes, optimization pipelines, code generation, and linkers.
- Experience with ML frameworks and software stacks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, ONNX, MLIR, XLA, TVM, and TensorRT.
- Expertise writing production-quality Python and C++ code.
- Experience optimizing graph compilers and lowering PyTorch or TensorFlow models into efficient intermediate representations.
- Embedded systems programming experience and knowledge of compiler requirements for embedded systems.
- Understanding of computer architecture, including caches, pipelines, and instruction set architectures.
- Ability to analyze complex compiler codebases and develop accurate solutions, along with effective communication and remote collaboration skills.
- Experience contributing to the open-source community.
