Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, leadership, service-line heads, technology product owners, and technical leads to shape scope and deliver reusable engineering artifacts.
- Partner with architecture, security, engineering, networking, and service-line teams to establish shared standards and avoid duplicated technical solutions.
- Lead or support large-scale GCP migration and integration initiatives, cloud architecture, microservices, API-first development, and end-to-end service deployment.
- Build DevSecOps capabilities and automation into solutions while ensuring alignment with FSA and applicable security, legal, and compliance requirements.
- Provide engineering subject-matter expertise and technical leadership for teams across X-risk type SVS.
- Support data analysis, databases, event streaming, service observability, service mesh, caching, and cloud-native engineering practices.
- Mentor colleagues, communicate complex technical ideas, influence stakeholders, and work effectively in global and multicultural environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent; an advanced degree is preferred.
- GCP or AWS certification is required, with GCP preferred.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with large-scale GCP migration and integration, Kubernetes, Docker, storage, Cloud Functions, databases, Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Zuul, workflow systems, microservices, and API-first development.
- Experience with IAM, Active Directory, AD LDS, roles, service accounts, entitlements, end-to-end microservice design and deployment, service mesh, observability, caching, and Redis.
- Experience with DevSecOps principles and automation using Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, and GitHub.
- Experience with event and data streaming technologies including Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Confluent, and Kafka.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP network design, including addressing, routing, switches, firewalls, and routers.
- Familiarity with agile development practices and tools such as Scrum, Kanban, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience in banking or financial services, including legal and compliance requirements, and delivering complex solutions in large organizations.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, influencing, problem-solving, prioritization, independent working, mentoring, and technical-leadership skills.
