Responsibilities
- Analyze functional business applications and design specifications.
- Develop, test, debug, enhance, and maintain software products.
- Write programs to specification and research, test, and verify software patches and fixes.
- Work with technical staff and customers to resolve software problems, complaints, and enhancement requests.
- Create block diagrams, logic flow charts, software version-control baseline documentation, project schedules, and timelines.
- Coordinate with customer security elements on project certification and accreditation.
- Support customer systems, databases, communication and messaging systems, supply and equipment orders, and field IT activities.
- Author reports and briefings, communicate requirements, advise on costs and design changes, and train system users.
- Provide technical direction to programmers and support customer leadership with calendar management and meeting administration.
- Set up meetings, create agendas, arrange off-sites, publish meeting minutes, and order and ship materials domestically and internationally.
Requirements
- 11+ years of relevant experience.
- BS degree in a technical field or communications, with relevant experience accepted in place of the degree.
- US citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
- Willingness to undertake potentially 10% OCONUS travel.
- Tactical communications and equipment experience.
- Knowledge of client databases, communication and messaging systems, field activities, customer mission areas, directorates, and supply and equipment ordering systems.
- Understanding of field IT issues and the project management process.
- Demonstrated use of MS Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access.
- Working-level knowledge of web products, SharePoint at the user level, Wikis, and databases.
- PMP or ITIL certification, military experience, domestic or overseas IT, telecommunications, and security experience, field communications knowledge, and OCONUS travel experience are desired.
